Microsoft should Quit!

"Antitrust regulators from the 15 member nations of the European Union will gather in Brussels on March 15 to discuss a European Commission antitrust ruling against Microsoft, according to a diplomat close to one national regulator."

Why should Microsoft have to cater to its competitors. Does GMC have to make cars so Sony, RCA and other stereo manufacturers can put their radios in? Is Ford motor company forced to make rims that can accommodate every tire manufacturer? No, so why should Microsoft have to create a product that is striped from all its component's?

"Microsoft violated antitrust law on two counts, according to the draft ruling. By tying its music and video player software into Windows, Microsoft put rivals at an unfair competitive disadvantage."

"the commission wants Microsoft to sell two versions of Windows: one with Windows Media Player stripped out and sold separately, and the other with the software included"

Microsoft is offering its components free of charge, if people don't want to use them there are many alternatives. I am sick of hearing about all these antitrust cases against Microsoft. If everyone is so concerned about the control and power of the company, why don't they invest to make a better competitor? Because they can't, Microsoft is a great product. You can uninstal the components you don't want and install any software you do. What's the problem? People are too stupid to figure out how to uninstal the software, so Microsoft is forced to make it easier.

"European decision go against Microsoft, the penalties for breaking competition regulations could include a fine of up to 3 billion euros ($3.7 billion), as well as strict edicts designed to alter the way Microsoft sells its products."

Bah, Microsoft should close up shop and let all these people use the Mac.

Healthy and Rich

A new report in Canada suggests "There's a very strong health-to-wealth link," ""In our society, there's a pretty strong conviction that our health is dictated by choices we make. We're very individualistic in that way."

Sounds all good and fine to me.

"In my experience, people with higher income are achievers, and they're not afraid to take tough decisions, including eating a healthy diet and exercising"

Well, I guess these principles don't apply to the united states, because many of the ceo's and money makers I see are quite large. They don't have time to eat healthy, to busy trying to scandal more money from the people.

Low carbs all Lies?

"NBC4's Colleen Williams went to stores that sell the low-carb foods and randomly selected several "low-carb" products. Six products were then stored in a cooler and taken to Associated Laboratories in Orange to see if they really had the number of carbohydrates that the nutritional labels said."

Guess what Colleen discovered? "Half of the products had more than twice the carbs that they claim." What was the response of the company's that make these products?

"Although we review other manufacturers' labels for accuracy, we do not independently test each product."

Wow, they don't test each product, they just pick up a deck of cards, throw them up in the air, and what ever cards land face up are the amount of carbs in each product!

"The FDA continues to punish manufacturers who make false claims on nutritional labels. The administration is working on coming up with a definition for the term "low-carb.""

Anyway, if you keep getting fatter, even with the low-carb diet, try using this calculators:
